The Otso contents can be found in Nova as ‘painetun kirjan digisisällöt’, starting from 1.8.2025. Due to this change, the current Otso App will be discontinued on August 1, 2025.
- The use of digital content that supports the printed book (painetun kirjan digisisällöt) is indicated on the books with a cover text and a Nova logo.

- For older textbooks, the existence of digital content in Nova for printed books is indicated by the Otso logo.

- For the first use, the content can be accessed in Nova with the ISBN of the printed book. You can find the ISBN on the back cover of the book.

Instructions for the student
Log in to Novaan. Instructions for logging in to Nova can be found here.
Go to the Materials tab in Nova and click on the Redeem Digital Material button.

Enter the ISBN of the printed book (13 digits) in the Code field and click Redeem.

The digital material will be saved in the My Materials section.

You can also add the book to your favourites and it will appear on your Nova home page.

Click on the book icon to open the digital content.

The digital content that supports the printed textbook is organised by page number of the book. Click on the white box to see all content related to that page.

The digital content will open in its own view. You can return to the home screen by clicking on the bars in the top right-hand corner.

Once you have started listening to an audio file, you can adjust the audio speed to slow down or speed up by clicking the speed button at the bottom.

Other free-of-charge materials
You can also find some older digital materials (e.g., the audio materials for the old edition of Suomen mestari) on Nova. You can find these materials in Materials page on Nova.

Finn Lecturan maksuttomat äänitteet includes the audio material that can be used free of charge.
Finn Lecturan maksuttomat oheismateriaalit includes all the other digital material that can be used free of charge.
You will find the materials by clicking on the product’s name.
