In late spring 2025, you will find all Finn Lectura’s digital materials on a new platform called Nova. Nova brings together the functions and features of different services – Opettajan digipiste and Opiskelijan digipiste – and will provide a unified experience for both teachers and students.
Nova is a new learning and teaching service, combining advanced technology, inspiring content, and reliable teaching methods. Nova is developed by Otava and designed to support learning and teaching better than ever before. Now, users of Finn Lectura’s materials can also access Nova!
The change does not require any action from you!
All active subscriptions and materials will be moved to Nova automatically, and you will log in with the same username and password as before. There will be only one login page, whether you are a teacher or a student. Nova can be used in Finnish, English, and Swedish.
Nova will replace the Opettajan digipiste and Opiskelijan digipiste in late spring 2025.
Nova is being developed step by step during the spring, but you can try it now. You can already use many features from the Opettajan digipiste and Opiskelijan digipiste, and use digital materials you or your school have bought. Nova is modern and easy to use.
You can log in to Nova with the same username and password you used for the Opettajan digipiste or the Opiskelijan digipiste.
In Nova, you will find all the digital materials from Finn Lectura that you have used before in the Opettajan digipiste or Opiskelijan digipiste.
In addition, you will also find some free-of-charge extra material related to the learning materials in Nova.

In autumn, students will find the Otso App contents in Nova. This means students can use the contents on a computer as well as on a smartphone.
To use the contents in Nova, the student needs to activate the material by entering the printed book’s ISBN number. The activation needs to be done at the first time; after that, the materials will appear in the student’s own materials section.
Because of this change, the current Otso App will be discontinued on August 1, 2025.
