Kokataan suomeksi!

Kokataan suomeksi! is a Finnish language textbook designed for students studying in the restaurant industry. The book is primarily intended for students training to be chefs, but it is also suitable for waiter/waitress students. The student will become familiar with the professional vocabulary of the restaurant industry and the language structures needed in the field, as well as practice various customer service situations in Finnish. The student will learn, among other things, the names of ingredients and tools, as well as cooking methods. In addition, there is plenty of information about proper work hygiene and special diets.

The book is suitable for study at the A2–B1 proficiency level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Kokataan suomeksi! on ravintola-alalla opiskeleville maahanmuuttajille suunnattu suomen kielen oppikirja. Kirja on suunniteltu ensisijaisesti kokiksi opiskeleville, mutta sopii myös tarjoilijaopiskelijoille.

Kirjan avulla opiskelija tutustuu ravintola-alan ammattisanastoon ja alalla tarpeellisiin kielen rakenteisiin, sekä harjoittelee suomeksi erilaisia asiakaspalvelutilanteita. Opiskelija oppii muun muassa raaka-aineiden ja työvälineiden nimiä sekä ruoanlaittomenetelmiä. Lisäksi mukana on runsaasti tietoa oikeasta työhygieniasta ja erityisruokavalioista. Tekstien ja tehtävien taso vaihtelee, joten mukana on runsaasti eriyttävää materiaalia. Esimerkiksi joistain kuunteluista on nopeampi ja hitaampi versio.
