The renewed Suomen mestari 2 textbook is designed to improve language skills effectively. It follows the Uudistettu Suomen mestari 1 textbook. It includes everyday spoken language as well as formal written language. The book also has simple reading passages that provide a deeper understanding of the chapter themes. The subjects relate to everyday life and the book includes essential vocabulary. The language structures are clearly described, building a systematic understanding of Finnish. Many exercises and illustrative images support both language courses and self-study.

The book is suitable for study at the A2 proficiency level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
